BIDDING FAREWELL TO 2020
Eh wait. It's 2021 already? Where did 2020 go? I guess I'll do write-up here before it's a tad bit too late. Let's see...
- Started the year in Yangon for Rachel's wedding.
- Did some cuti-cuti Malaysia with Jen (and rejected his 2nd proposal lol).
- Celebrated Chinese New Year with the family.
- Officially moved back to Melbourne (who knew that'd be my last flight for a while) and got locked out from the apartment for a couple of days.
- Dealt with grandpa's passing.
- Mum and aunt came for a week to visit.
- Watched my first ever cricket match.
- Dealt with unemployment for a couple of months but thankful to have some sort of subsidy from the Australian Government.
- Jen made sure to keep my belly happy. Buy me meals when I can't afford. Take me out because he knew it would help lift my spirit.
- Got engaged, finally. You know what they say, third time's the charm.
- Went into lockdown. Dealt with some annoying af pandemic situation.
- Dealt with crippled Jen.
- Made Jen bring me on road trips and hikes upon his recovery. Daylesford, Flinders Peak, Yarra and etc.
- Attended Em's gorgeous wedding.
- Celebrated our birthdays at Ishizuka.
- Went for a Christmas getaway at Healesville.
Clocked in very little mileage but surprisingly, still a very eventful year!
2020 has taught me to be grateful and appreciate what you have whilst you still have it. It has also taught me to recognise what is within my control and what is not.
Now all I want for 2021 is for Covid to be over because all I want to do (aside from visiting Japan) is to go home! 我想家了。
